H. E. Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al-Nabit, the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, received H. E. Gen. (Pilot) Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili, Chairman of the Saudi General Staff, and his accompanying delegation within an official reception ceremony that took place at the airport of Al-Udaid Air Base.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed military relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of strengthening and developing them.
H. E. Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chairman of the Saudi General Staff, accompanied by H. E. Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, visited Qatar Emiri Air Force. During the visit, a tour was taken in the facilities of the Air Force and the most prominent fighters, air transport aircraft and training aircraft owned by the Air Force were reviewed. They also visited the Joint Air Operations Center.
H. E. the Chairman of the Saudi General Staff, accompanied by H. E. the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, also visited Al-Zaeem Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College.
During the visit, a tour of the college was taken to introduce the most prominent facilities it contains, in addition to the most important programs that the college offers to candidates.
H. E. the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces hosted a dinner gala in honor of H. E. the Chairman of the Saudi General Staff and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting, reception and visits were attended by a number of senior officers from the Qatari and Saudi sides.
