Qatar’s Ministry of Defence organizes Desert Camp to welcome allied forces participating in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Qatar’s Ministry of Defence organized the Desert Camp to welcome allied forces participating in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The event was attended by H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs.

 

The event introduced allied forces to Qatar’s customs and traditions through various activities including the Ardah performance, Qatar’s traditional sword dance.

 

The event was attended by H.E. Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, H.E. Major General (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al-Mannai, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs and Chairperson of the Ministry of Defence’s executive committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and H.E.Major General Saeed Husayn Al-Khayarin, Commander of the Combined Joint Task Force for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and a number of ambassadors and military attachés to the country, along with senior Qatari officers.
