H. E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs, participated in the opening session of the 21st Shangri-la Dialogue, currently being held in the Republic of Singapore, entitled: (Cross-Regional Security Order Challenges).
H. E. delivered a speech, in which he addressed the approach of the State of Qatar in facing regional challenges, it’s keenness to support and respect international treaties and agreements, in addition to the constant call of the State of Qatar to dialogue and peace. H. E. also addressed the role of the International Court of Justice with regard to the ongoing war on Gaza, stressing that the State of Qatar seizes every opportunity to emphasize its position regarding the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people.
It’s worth mentioning that the Shangri-la Dialogue this year saw the participation of (45) countries and (49) ministerial-level representatives. It is a governmental security summit, held annually by the International Institute of Strategic Studies, with the participation of prime ministers, defense ministers, senior military commanders, and defense & security policies makers from around the globe.
