H. E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs, met with H. E. Yasar Guller, Turkish National Defense Minister, at the headquarters of the Turkish Ministry of Defense in Ankara.
On the occasion, official reception ceremony was held for H. E. Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs.
The visit comes in light of exchanged visits and strong, historical relations between the two brotherly countries. Moreover, this year marks the fiftieth year of establishing diplomatic relations between the two sides.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest, on top of which military cooperation and ways to enhance and develop it.
During the meeting, also, latest developments in the region were discussed, particularly the Israeli war on Gaza. Turkish National Defense Minister expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the role of the State of Qatar in reaching a temporary ceasefire and allowing humanitarian & medical aids to enter the strip.
Turkish National Defense Minister hosted a lunch gala in honor of H. E. Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by H. E. Maj. Gen. Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Shahwani, Qatari Military Attaché to the Republic of Turkey, H. E. Maj. Gen. (Pilot) Salem bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, Commander of Al-Zaeem Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College, and a number of senior officials and officers of both sides.
