H. E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs, met with H. E. Mr. Kihara Minoru, Japanese Minister of Defense, on the sidelines of the 21st Shangri-la Dialogue, organized by the International Institute of Strategic Studies in Singapore.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance and develop them. The latest updates in the region, especially the Israeli war on Gaza, where the role of the State of Qatar in mediation efforts and the necessity to ceasefire and end the war on Gaza were addressed.
The meeting was attended by H. E. Mr. Saud bin Jassim Al-Jefairi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Singapore, and a number of senior officials of both sides.
