H. E. Lt- Gem (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, attended the 8th annual Dragon Group meeting held in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting brought together Chiefs of Staff from the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as
well as the United Kingdom, the Hashemite Kingdom of the Republic of and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The meeting discussed security challenges and overall threats the region, along with ways to confront and mitigate them through joint efforts. It also emphasized importance of strengthening
among the group’s members.
The meeting was attended by H. (Pilot) Issa bin Rashid Al-Mohannadi, Assistant Secretary General for Military Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat.
On the sidelines of the meeting, H. E- Lt. Gen- (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai held talks with H. E. Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, and H.
E. Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah, Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army.
During the meetings, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest and to enhance and develop them.
