The Qatari Emiri Naval Forces at Umm Al Houl Naval Base welcomed two warships from the British Navy, namely HMS Bangor and Cardigan Bay. The British Navy arrived in Qatar in line with the cooperation agreements concluded by the Ministry of Defence with allied forces to secure the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Officers of the Qatari Ministry of Defence presented gifts to the ships’ crew and captured the moment in photos during a reception to welcome the British delegation.
British forces thanked the Ministry of Defence for the warm reception and expressed enthusiasm to join the forces securing the world’s leading tournament, adding that they look forward to delivering on their mission.
