H. E. Gen. Selsuk Bayraktaroölu, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, and his accompanying delegation visited Umm A1-Houl Naval Base, where he met with Maj. Gen. (Navy) Abdullah Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Commander of Qatar Emiri Naval Forces.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance and develop them. The visit also included a field tour aboard the strategic transport and support vessel Al-Fulk.
H. E. the Turkish Chief Of General Staff also visited the Qatari-Turkish Joint Forces Headquarters, where he met with Brig. Hadi Ghanem Al-Khayrin, Commander of the Qatari-Turkish Joint Forces.
The meeting covered aspects of military cooperation between the two sides and ways to further enhance it.
Both meetings were attended by a number of senior officers from both sides.
