H. E. Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs, met with H. E. The Honourable Dato Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin , Minister of Defense of Malaysia, and his accompanying delegation during his official visit to the State of Qatar.
The meeting witnessed the signing of several agreements between the Ministry of Defense of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Defense of Malaysia. The agreements were signed by H, E. Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan A1-Thani on the Qatari side, and H. E. The Honourable Dato Seri Mohamed
Khaled bin Nordin on the Malaysian side.
An agreement was also signed in the field of technology and information transfer, as well as the development of local industrial capabilities, between Barzan Holdings and the Malaysian company Ingress
Berhad. The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammed Bader Al-Sadah, Group Chief Executive Officer of
Barzan Holdings, on behalf of the Qatari side and Mr. Mohd Sirajuddean bin Ab Rahim Group Managing
Director Ingress Corporation Berhad, on behalf of the Malaysian side.
On this occasion, H. E. the Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs hosted a lunch
gala in honor of H. E. the Malaysian Minister of Defense and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by H. E. Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, Chief of Staff of
Qatar Armed Forces, H. E. Gen. Tan Sri Hj Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, Chief of Defense Malaysian Armed Forces, along with a number of senior officers from both sides.
