H. E. Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, delivered a lecture entitled (Challenges Facing National Security) to a number of students of the National Defense Course No. (3) of QAF officers and senior employees of ministries and security entities in the country.
H. E. addressed the importance of the National Defense Course, qualifying civilian & military intellectual & commanding elites that have the strategic vision capable of studying Variants of the strategic environment.
He also addressed the most prominent regional & international challenges facing national security, ways of assessing and facing them, and the role of the Armed Forces in promoting national security.
Following that, H. E. met with a number of the students and the administrative & educational cares of the Academy.
During this visit, H. E. inaugurated the Joaan bin Jassim Academy for Defense Studies’ website, which is designed to meet the needs of scholars as a reference tool for several scientific & strategic researches and studies, provide Academy related information, introduce its scientific production, and highlight its military identity as a pioneer Qatari institution research & university.
