The Ministry of Defense announced that, thanks to Allah the Almighty first, Qatar Armed Forces fighter jets, in addition to the use of air defense systems, successfully intercepted air attacks involving drones and Cruise missiles launched by Iran towards the country’s airspace.
The Ministry explained, in a statement, that early warning and detection systems identified the targets immediately upon their entry into the surveillance range, where they were tracked and intercepted according to established rules of engagement, to ensure protecting national sovereignty and airspace safety.
The Ministry confirmed that the interception operations were conducted within an integrated air defense system with full readiness of the Armed Forces, without any human casualties.
Specialized teams have begun completing assessment and precautionary monitoring procedures. The Ministry emphasized that the State of Qatar continues to take all necessary measures to protect its land and airspace, and following up the latest developments through official channels.
