H. E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs, met with H. E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of Singapore, on the sidelines of H. E. participation in the Shangri-la Dialogue organized by the International Institute of Strategic Studies.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance and develop them. Latest updates in the region, especially the Israeli war on Gaza were also discussed, where the role of the State of Qatar in mediation efforts and the necessity to ceasefire and end the war on Gaza were addressed.
The meeting was attended by H. E. Mr. Saud bin Jassim Al-Jefairi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore, and a number of senior officials of both sides.
